The filming activity drew attention from local residents and visitors who noticed the presence of film crews and recognizable actors in the city.

Tulsa King, a crime drama series starring Stallone, premiered in 2022 on Paramount+. The show follows Dwight “The General” Manfredi, a New York mafia capo who is sent to Tulsa, Oklahoma, after being released from prison and begins building a new criminal empire.

Georgia has become a major hub for film and television production over the past decade, with many productions choosing locations across metro Atlanta and surrounding communities.

Cities such as Norcross often serve as filming locations because of their historic architecture, parks and accessible urban settings that can double as locations for television and film scenes.

Norcross, located in western Gwinnett County, has previously attracted film and television productions due to its small-town atmosphere and proximity to Atlanta’s major film studios.

Industry analysts say Georgia remains one of the top filming destinations in the United States, with hundreds of productions choosing the state each year.

While production details for the specific Tulsa King scenes filmed in Norcross have not been publicly

released, the filming activity adds to the growing list of television and film projects that have used metro Atlanta locations.

Production crews typically coordinate with local officials when filming in public spaces to manage equipment placement, parking and temporary closures if needed.

For residents, the appearance of a major television production offers a rare glimpse behind the scenes of how scenes are filmed and produced.
