Warner Bros. Discovery executives reportedly directed All Elite Wrestling (AEW) to remove wrestler Brody King from Wednesday night’s episode of AEW Dynamite amid concerns over potential crowd chants referencing U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

According to Wrestling Observer Radio, hosts Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez stated that the decision was made by Warner Bros. Discovery leadership above AEW President Tony Khan, citing worries about chants potentially airing on TBS or TNT. The concerns were reportedly heightened due to Warner Bros. Discovery’s ongoing business matters and scrutiny surrounding broader political sensitivities.

King had been scheduled to appear in a segment alongside AEW World Champion MJF ahead of their upcoming AEW Revolution match this Sunday. That segment was ultimately removed from the broadcast. Instead, Kenny Omegareferenced King during a promo, which drew a strong crowd reaction.

Fans at previous AEW events in Mexico City and Las Vegas have chanted in support of King’s public stance on immigration issues. King has also previously relaunched merchandise with proceeds donated to immigrant rights organizations, a move that has drawn both praise and controversy among wrestling fans.

As of publication, no official statements have been released by AEW, Tony Khan, Brody King, or Warner Bros. Discovery regarding the reported decision.
