Gwinnett County, GA February 12, 2026
Gwinnett County is offering free trees to eligible homeowners in unincorporated Gwinnett County through its Front Yard Tree Program, an initiative designed to expand tree canopy coverage and promote environmental sustainability.
Eligible residents may apply to receive up to two native trees to be planted in their front yard at no cost. Once approved, the selected trees will be delivered and professionally planted by a licensed landscape contractor.

Tree options are based on yard size and site conditions and may include a variety of native species such as:
- Flowering Dogwoods
- Black Gum
- Southern Magnolias
- White Oaks
- Shumard Oaks
- And additional native varieties
County officials say the program helps improve neighborhood aesthetics, increase property value, reduce stormwater runoff, and support local ecosystems.
Participation is limited, and trees are available while supplies last.
