Georgia General Assembly Recognizes Law Enforcement Leaders

On Wednesday, the Georgia General Assembly convened at the State Capitol to formally recognize law enforcement leaders and agencies statewide, reflecting a collective appreciation and support for their dedicated service to public safety.

Through the adoption of Senate Resolution 566 and House Resolution 1065, lawmakers assigned February 11, 2026, as Police Chiefs and Heads of Law Enforcement Agencies Recognition Day. This designation serves to underscore the significant contributions made by law enforcement professionals in their commitment to community safety.

Among those honored were Georgia Parole Board officers, all of whom are POST-certified, led by Deputy Executive Director Felecia Holloway. Key state leaders also attended the event, including Lt. Governor Burt Jones and House Speaker Jon Burns, who articulated their gratitude for the challenges and responsibilities borne by law enforcement personnel.
